Neutral & Natural | Target Spring Modern Home Decor 2020 Roundup

Lately I’ve been gravitating more and more to neutral, textured, and natural interiors. It happens post-holidays every year, a reaction to all of the color and glitz, but nowadays, these modern neutrals have a lot more staying power for me than they used to.

The weather is another factor that’s gotten me thinking about a neutral and natural spring refresh. It’s been so warm here in Napa lately, 80 degrees today! So it feels like spring is springing, even though we’ll no doubt get more chilly weather.

Regardless, it got me in the mood to look at what Target is offering new for spring home decor, and as I think many of us have noticed the past few years, there’s a lot to like!

First though, I learned that Target has a group of home decor brands. I’d always sort of noticed a couple of the brand names, but then I found the actual list. Being familiar with Target’s different home decor lines and what general style they’re about can be helpful when you’re scrolling (or strolling) looking at all the decor.

The line that got my attention today is the modern Project 62. Check out below to see what caught my eye!

I love the llama print with the warm, peachy-sunset background. I have a llama thing going on at home already. My boys and I are big Napoleon Dynamite fans, and his grandma’s casserole-eating llama is named Tina, so how could I not?! This print could keep my other llama print company hanging on the wall together.

If you’re a goner for anything black with brass then we think alike. That wood and metal tray is right up my alley. Trays are very handy for keeping things organized and arranged while looking good from keys by the door to jewelry and accessories.

Other loves: A) anything felt and B) anything with visible stitching or reverse seams. Cue #6’s felt basket. It’s going in my cart to help organize my home office that’s about to undergo a light remodeling.

Since we’re looking at a modern collection - Target’s Project 62, I have to quote a great modernist architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (designer of the famous Barcelona chair) “God is in the details.” I agree! What are some of the decor details that get you going?

Enjoy the post? Pin it for later!
